This year the Tenth Annual Black Age of Comics Convention will be held in Chicago at the Kenwood Academy High School at 5015 South Blackstone. Located in the culturally diverse Hyde Park/Kenwood Community which boasts the likes of Barack Obama, the University of Chicago, the Smart Museum, The DuSable Museum of African American History, The Little Black Pearl Art and Design Center, the Hyde Park Art Center, the Blackstone Library, and Pedro Bell of P-Funk fame as its residents. This community is also the birthplace of the Black Age of Comics.
Moving the convention to Kenwood Academy gives the convention a larger physical plant with good parking, nearby lodging, outstanding restaurants, scenic lakefront, and easy public transportation.
This event is produced by Onli Studios with support from the Graphic Novel and Anime-Manga Clubs of Kenwood Academy.

The Black Age Convention will be part of Chicago's Artists' Month Celebrations and will feature the Sustahs on HOODOO discussion group featuring Mary Fleener's comic book adaptation of the Voo Doo research work of Zora Neal Hurston.

The Brothas on Blood and Honor will discuss Alex Simmons' landmark soldier of fortune character, BLACK JACK.. Vendors and related exhibits will be in the hall ways.
