"I know for a fact that no one commits acts of violence while reading a graphic novel. A positive culturally based fantasy life will inspire a positive reality. Reading a graphic novel or comic book cultivates higher ordered thinking skills because the reader must process images along with words in a sequence to derive a meaningful context and its narrative implications. This is why it is stereotyped as appealing to "smart intelligent boys". Often referred to as "Nerds" or "Geeks". Avid comic book fans test well in all areas. Reading this material makes them smarter!"
