ONLI STUDIOS will be hosting a signing and get to know event for Ms Jun Ogusawara. Jun O has developed an amazing tender story of your embrace of the essence of the late Chicago Blues master, Lefty Dizz, as her spiritual God-father. This vision is expressed in her drawings and writings then later supported by her travels to Chicago to learn more about the legendary Bluesman and the incredible scene to which he was a part.
She first made contact with this Black Master of the Blues when as a young child, her Father showed her a DVD featuring the Rolling Stones in Chicago at the Checkerboard Lounge Blues Club in 1981. It featured a large jam session which included amazing performances by Lefty Dizz. CONTACT!
Jun O is a student of lithography. Her style is clean, very illustrative and unique. Curators, critics and collectors will find her work a rare find. Students and educators will see in her work possibilities for the expression of personal visions and the potential of the sketch book and a holder of passionate art and storytelling.
Her works were featured at the Lubeznik Center for the Arts last Fall in its group exhibition called, "Comics Code".
