Gettin' ready to check out the "Squeradin' Costume Contest. The power of art, to create a safe space where a youth can be young, free, & creative.
The 'Squeraders were ready. Would the cosplayers win? Would the stylin' clowns win? Would it be the costumed heroes?
The Saxophone Quartet of Kenwood Academy HS players were the soundtrack to this event. They have perfomed at the Chicago Jazz fest and played both classical & jazz works.

They gave a moving presentation about the Underground Comix legend, innovator, the late Grass Green. Green's wife and relatives were pleasantly emotional through the whole Hall of Fandom presentation.

Eric was taking a moment to take it all in. We loved having him, Steven, Nino, Juan, Ashley, Raphael, and Andre' as the 2009 featured Black Age artists.

After taking Steven, Mike, Ashley & Eric to see the amazing and funny UniverSoul Circus, Onli took them to the site of the first nuclear reaction. The birthplace of the Atomic Age is in the same neighborhood as the personal home of President Obama, and the Black Age movement.
Here they are standing on the place of the Manhattan Project that led to the bomb.
